Aristo Pharma wants to set a good example and save energy and emissions. The new photovoltaic system on the roof of the company headquarters in Berlin makes a major contribution to this.
A total of 314 photovoltaic modules have been installed on the roof of Aristo Pharma and, depending on weather conditions, they deliver an output of up to 98.91 kW. This generates an amount of electrical energy of approx. 82,500 kWh per year. This enables Aristo Pharma to reduce CO2 emissions in the building by 47 tons per year.
At times when the generation of the photovoltaic system exceeds Aristo Pharma's requirements, the excess energy is routed to its own production site Advance Pharma right next door and consumed there. Here, the lighting systems had already been renewed and converted to LED before. As a result, energy consumption was reduced by 63 percent. The new LED lighting in Advance Pharma's high-bay warehouse achieved similar effects. It is used in conjunction with presence detectors and has since saved around 53 percent in electricity consumption.
